ALT Games is a new Sydney-based festival celebrating independent game makers and the culture of indie game design. Hosted by Sydney’s Powerhouse at PHIVE, the event brought together creators pushing the boundaries of interactive media. We created a bold visual identity featuring a custom logotype inspired by game controller shapes, paired with a punchy black and neon green palette to capture the festival’s vibrant, future-facing energy. The identity is supplemented by a generative pattern inspired by Conway’s “Game of Life”, adding a dynamic, systems-driven layer to the visual language. All of this was developed within the Powerhouse brand framework, including its content-forward approach and typeface
