SPEAK UP AFRICA

CHALLENGE

Speak Up Africa, an advocacy and communications organization that facilitates African leadership and ownership, was struggling to define their identity and initiatives in a clear way. They wanted to stay close to their African roots. We knew this had to be done in a contemporary and fresh way staying away from the cliches.  

APPROACH

The logo mark nods to speech and sound with the use of wave forms while contained within the iconic shape of the African continent. We chose artfully composed photography further elevating the identity.  

OUTCOME

Speak Up Africa teams both in the US and Africa were energized through the rebrand. They are now able to communicate in a simple and fresh way with a proper system and thoughtful assets. The identity was named one of the most trusted brands by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2014.
