THE CHIA CO – AUSTRALIAN OPEN ON MULBERRY

Australian based sustainable farming company The Chia Co approached us to brand their first New York based event, The Australian Open on Mulberry.  The vintage theme ping pong tournament synced up with The Australian Open.
        Through our research of classic 1950s -1970s tennis design we noticed the use graphic strokes on the clothing trim as well as a variety of patterns such as houndstooth and argyle.  Since the audience of the event was design savvy and culturally progressive we pushed the ‘Classic Tennis’ aesthetic into a contemporary design place.  Knowing that we wanted to create a laurel we used The Chia Co logo as the leaves and built a unique laurel tied directly to their brand.
